Nanzen-ji

The head temple of Rinzai Sect, Nanzenji School and the most prestigious Zen temple in Japan. The Suirokaku (water bridge) of Lake Biwa Canal, which was constructed after the Restoration of Meiji in the precincts is now one of the highlights of this temple.
